Establishment and background

It is not possible to ignore the outstanding contributions made by Islamic Madaris in protection and preservation as well as publication of Islamic Teachings since Khairul Quran till the date of today. It is only because of Madaris and Masajid that Islam is prevalent with its real teachings in the subcontinent and Islamic identity is found in Muslims amid cultural proselyte and apostate of the West. Otherwise, there would have been the situation in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh like Indolus.
The movement of establishing Madaris launched by our forefathers while having felt the dangers before time through their insight and perceptivity, had not been successful, what could have happened to Islam and its Teachings in the subcontinent, can not say.
The need remains even today to establish Madaris and Makatib Islamia every where and in every village in order to serve Islam and spread the genuine and authentic beliefs through out.
Darul Uloom Zakariyya is actually a part of this movement which Hazrat Nanotvi (Peace be upon him) started in the last half of 19th century. And the Darul Uloom was founded with advices of prominent Ulama of Deoband, which is a centre for education and learning, attributing to Hazrat Shaikhul Hadith Sb Muhajir Madni (Pease be up on him) so that his educational and Tablighi movement to be made go forward from Deoband itself.
A large number of students come to Darul Uloom Deoband from the whole country to get admission but a big number of them have to go back, being disappointed for not having been selected. So need was felt to found a Madarasa on the criteria of Darul Uloom Deoband wherein those disappointed students may get admission and study.
By the grace of Allah and by the good attentions of forefathers and teachers of Darul Uloom Deoband, Darul Uloom Zakaria is on the way of progress with its set up goals and purposes while maintaining educational standard. The teachers are working hard with sincerity.
Maulana Muhammad Shafiq Khan (Pease be upon him) was a man of guts and good talent. He founded the Madarsah with rigorous efforts.
